Agua De Pina: Mexican Pineapple Water

Pure Writing
Almost any time during the year there is a thirst for something fresh to drink. And, many drinks come to mind which include tea, water, and soda for hot summer months. I myself like to drink a lot of water and I try to avoid too much sugar, but there is one Mexican drink I usually drink called Agua de Pina (Mexican Pineapple Water). Agua de Pena is sold all over Mexico, but in the United States it's hard to find unless you are attending a Mexican festivity. In this article I will discuss what Agua de Pina is, and what are the ingredients that make this sweet pineapple tasting fresh drink.

Agua de Pina is basically fresh pineapple sweet water, and it's very refreshing to drink during hot summer months or for your meals including breakfast. Agua de Pina is sold on about every street corner in Mexico, and it's served chilled in plastic cups. Anybody can enjoy this tasty fresh drink including adults and children.

Agua de Pina is very easy to make, and I will give you the secret ingredients to make this sweet drink. First, you will need fresh peeled pineapple fruit that you will blend with a small amount of water in the blender. Then take the thick paste of pineapple and add to full big glass jar of cold water, I usually use big cubes of ice in the water. Now that you have this mixture in the big cold glass jar you are ready to start mixing with enough sugar just enough for your desired amount of sweetness for your Agua de Pina. Now mix and you are ready to enjoy this sweet Mexican drink.

This drink can be served at birthday parties for the kids, because you can regulate the amount of sugar you want your kids to consume, especially if there is cake served at the birthday party. When making and serving this drink especially if it's for a group of special friends, you may want to add a few cherries in the serving cups to make the Agua de Pina very interesting. This drink is very easy and fun to make, and this drink should be taught in Home Economic Classes in high schools across the United States. Please leave comments on my work, and feel free to make Agua de Pina in the comfort of your own home, just make sure to make the learning experience very fun and creative.
