Ahmadinejad's Blames U.S. For September 11 Attacks During Speech

Without pause or hesitation, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmad claimed the United States was responsible for the September 11, 2001 attacks. His statements were without a logical explanation claiming the attacks were the precursor to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Mahmoud Ahmad went on to offer three theories explaining the September 11 attacks:

1. The United States was infiltrated by an extremely powerful terror group

2. The American economy was failing and the United States was losing control of its foothold in the Middle East. So sections of the United States government thought up the attacks to counter the ill sentiments

3. Americans supported the attacks on September 11 and took full advantage of the situation

Before the third theory had barely made it over the microphone, the delegation from the United States got out of their seats and walked out. As soon as Mahmoud Ahmad claims were made and the Americans left, other nations followed suit. Delegations from all 27 European Union nations, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Costa Rico left as well.

During Mahmoud Ahmad's provocative remarks, he called for a U.N sanctioned investigation into the September 11 attacks. Mahmoud Ahmad also called for a free nuclear world.

Mahmoud Ahmad has come under pressure as of late for building Iran's enrichment of uranium and continued nuclear process. Mahmoud Ahmad accuses the United States of building its cache of nuclear weapons instead of dismantling it. Mahmoud Ahmad mentioned he is ready to discuss Iran's nuclear program as long as the discussions are based on "justice and respect".

Once Mahmoud Ahmad was finished making his statements, the U.N Mission to the world body made a statement. The spokesman said Mahmoud Ahmad has spoken "vile conspiracy theories and anti-Semitic slurs" which they called "predictable".
