Sex and the City fans are eagerly awaiting the love triangle plotline that involves Carrie, Mr. Big and Aidan. The rumors regarding potential plotlines for Carrie and Aidan are plentiful. There are reports that the two have an affair. According to the blog, Hollywoodlife.com, Carrie and Aidan not only have an affair in Sex and the City 2, but the pair become a couple. Could Carrie be saying goodbye to Mr. Big? What we do know for sure is that Carrie runs into Aidan during a trip to Abu Dhabi. What happens from there, who knows?
Who Is Aidan Shaw?
Aidan Shaw can best be described as the polar opposite of Carrie's other love interest and current husband, Mr. Big. Where Mr. Big is a smooth talking, rich commitment phobe, Aidan is the good-looking, sweet, emotionally steady guy, who embodies all those qualities most women say they are looking for in a mate.
Aidan and Carrie's Love Affair
Aidan first appears on HBO's Sex and City during seasons three and four as the furniture designer and on-again/off-again love interest of lead character Carrie Bradshaw. Aidan reappears in season 6 of the popular HBO series. During season 6, Aidan and Carrie become engaged. Carrie later breaks off the engagement due to major lifestyle differences between the two characters. Carrie loves to go out, while Aidan likes to stay in. Carrie loves high fashion, while Aidan prefers sweats. Carrie enjoys trying out NYC's hottest new restaurants, while Aidan likes to eat KFC at home. The differences are certainly plenty, but many SATC fans think that Aidan's laid back charm would be a better match for Carrie than currant beau, Mr. Big.
Aidan's Current Status
When Aidan last appeared on Sex and the City, he was married and had a young son named Tate. We know that he reappears in the upcoming film, Sex and the City 2. What we do not know is if he is still married.
John Corbett Plays Aidan Shaw
Actor, John Corbett, has portrayed Aidan Shaw since inception. Corbett has many television and movie credits to his name. He currently appears on television's "United States of Tara". You can also see Corbett in the upcoming film, "Ramona and Beezus". Corbett portrays the girls' father, Bob Quimby.

Post a CommentA good actor and pleasant character, but differences in lifestyles and values can only be brushed over in the movies. In real life, find a compatible mate.
I never watched "Sex" because we do not have cable, but I've followed along through the articles, like yours, and feel as though I've watched it! I know these characters now, cheers :)
