Aidan Tennessee

In Remembrance of Robert M. Mangiafico

In remembrance of Robert M. Mangiafico who lost his life on March 17, 2008.

Aidan Tennessee

How could I have known things would end like this?

No warnings, harsh words, nor a single goodbye kiss.

You had to find yourself - you lost your way,

When things went so wrong that fateful day.

How was I to know?

Come home to me; tell me you are not gone,

Come home to me; do not leave me here alone,

Come home to me; tell me we will always be,

Forever in love, in Aidan Tennessee.

I will remember all the good times we had,

Moreover, I will try my best to get past the bad.

Over time, I know that this pain will ease,

The ones you left behind will find their peace

How were we to know?

Come home to me; tell me you are not gone,

Come home to me; do not leave me here alone,

Come home to me, just so you can see,

The best part of us - in Aidan Tennessee.

All the things that we went through,

The things we said and did not mean.

I am glad you have seen his eyes,

Just like yours, the deepest green.

Come home to me; tell me you are not gone,

Come home to me; do not leave me here alone,

Come home to me, I want you to see

How we were meant to be - in Aidan Tennessee.

The best of us was meant to be ....

Forever in love with Aidan Tennessee

Nearly 2 years after Robs death I still find myself googling his name. This was written for Rob in the days after his passing. I'm very glad to see its still here, and still being read and voted for. :)

One day the real story of what happened that morning, and the 8 hours prior will be told.
