AIG WTF?

Meltdowns and Massages

Jake Almond
I'm at work. Doing my job. Today that has been updating my Netflix and reading the 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die. I thought, I'm in a pretty good mood today, I think I'll check the news. Then I see -Days after bailout, AIG execs spent $443,000 at spa resort. - I had to read it twice because the number blew my freakin' mind. This is completely unacceptable. If these asswipes don't get punished for this I'm going to loose my mind. (More than I already have!) I just don't get it. What a bunch of arrogant assholes! They couldn't be more insulting if they came to our house, broke our knees, knocked us to the floor, and took a piss in our face. Truthfully that's what this feels like. Where the hell do they get off? Where the hell is Mr. Smith? Somebody needs to go to Washington! These dicks should be held responsible! AIG has sent a terrible message and they think it is funny. This is an embarrassment to the country and to our financial and political systems.

I wish they would make everyone of these execs stand before the American people and explain just what in the hell they were thinking. I think we are owed that much. I wouldn't be shocked if this was the behavior of organized crime, but it's not. Is it? Essentially that's what this whole thing is. The average American is losing his ass in debt and we are being squeezed by our own government. It is the complete opposite of the Robin Hood legend. Rob from the poor and give more to the rich. The new breed of criminal during this coming depression isn't like Bonnie and Clyde. They are the criminals that are in bed with the United States Government. This is the time for our elected officials to step up and show us if they actually give a shit anymore. Is anyone out there that isn't a corrupt piece of shit?

Meltdowns and massages go hand in hand I suppose. I know AIG isn't the only company that should be accused of dicking around with our money, but $443,000 is a retarded lot of money for a week long retreat. They claim the trip was planned a year ago. So what? Cancel it. Have you read the papers or turned on the goddamn TV? The economy is going straight to hell without collecting $200. A lot of people should be fired for this. We need to wipe the senate and congress. Every exec or politician that spent tax money on a massage, golf trip, car wash, stick of beef jerky, or whatever, they should be fired. Fired upon by a firing squad. What a crime. Unfortunately, I don't think it will get any better. We should vote. We should definitely vote, but honestly if the debate showed us anything last night, it's that both candidates will just give us more of the same. Neither have the balls to even debate. They just use carefully planned talking points and say the same buzzwords that both parties have been saying for the last twenty-five years, all to avoid embarrassment or an awkward moment. If you don't believe it, research the past debates. Nothing has changed. Nothing will change. But you know what? The American people deserve to see them embarrassed. We want to see that they care and that they understand how embarrassing it is to go into a bank and make a withdrawal to pay a bill, knowing that some of us may only have ten or twelve dollars in our account until the next paycheck, or that they understand how awkward it is when we have to choose between food or filling our car up with gas to get to and from work or to afford daycare for our children. The Who said it best:

The change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fold, that's all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain't changed
'Cause the banners, they are flown in the next war

I'll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky
Though I know that the hypnotized never lie
Do ya?

There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss

REMEMBER! VOTE IN NOVEMBER! BE A PART OF HISTORY!

The economy could be fixed very easily, by following our Constitution. By the way, America, on that AIG "bankruptcy", AIG is a foreign based global insurer, based in London. Congress had no authority at all to bail them out at the American taxpayer's expense. They also had assets worth several billion over their liabilities for the past five years. They aren't bankrupt, it's just that the Vice President of AIG is from Israel and sits on the Council for Foreign Relations, that New York think tank in New York whose members also include McCain, the Clintons, the Bushes, Obama, Biden,Ted Turner, Rupert Murdoch, and six of the top eleven Obama cabinet members. You think things are going to change.......the only thing that has changed is the mouthpiece, and they are selling out our country to the highest bidder.
