Aiptek Mona Lisa 8-inch Digital Photo Frame with Built-In Camera -a Product Review

Lovemyviews
The thing that most disturbs me about the Aiptek Mona Lisa 8"Digital photo frame w/built in camera is that it was a gift from my husband. That may sound a bit harsh but the truth about the matter is that he should have known better to have bought me such a horrible gadget. I have my reasons for calling it horrible, but the main reason is that it is an Aiptek product. Aiptek products are one of the worst manufacturing companies out there. Every single electronic I've ever bought from them hasn't been up to part and the Aiptek Mona Lisa 8"Digital photo frame w/built in camera isn't an exception.

The Few things I did at least like about the Aiptek Mona Lisa 8"Digital photo frame w/built in camera.

Even though I disliked the Aiptek Mona Lisa, there was a few thing that I did like about it at least. I liked the fact that it was a digital photo frame with a built in camera. That was a very neat concept in my eyes. I haven't seen a digital photo frame that had a camera built into it. I may be out of the loop but thus far, I haven't encountered one.

The other thing I liked about the Mona Lisa Digital Photo Frame was that it offered other uses. I didn't have to stick to using it mainly for picture displaying, I was able to use it as my own personal alarm clock. And for the price, I was a bit upset that it didn't serve it's original purpose.

The remote control is the best thing about the Aiptek Mona Lisa personally. That doesn't say much about the product at all.

The things I disliked about the Aiptek Mona Lisa 8"Digital photo frame w/built in camera

The biggest thing I disliked about the Aiptek Mona Lisa was the price. It didn't function the way I expected it to for $199. I spent about $60 on my Sony Camcorder and got way better results from it. It was way to pricey for my pockets, well my husband's pockets that is. But I figure his pockets are my pockets so it's pretty much all the same.

The photo frame itself was only 8" which is about the size o my camcorder screen. That isn't a nice size for a $200 digital photo frame. Why? Because most of the photo area is surrounding by 3" of frame. So in the end you are only really working with about 6" of photo display.

Not only are you not giving much to work with in the photo area you aren't giving much to work with in the camera area either. Even though they decided to build in a camera, it was only a 5 mega pixel camera. If you have any experience with cameras, then you understand that this isn't' anything to brag about, My images come in blurry and capturing movement isn't it's strong point.

The Aiptek Mona Lisa has a slide show effect that unlike other digital photo frames, experiences problems from time to time I don't even display my photos under this feature. Honestly I don't display my photos at all on this digital photo frame anymore. Most of the time I'm squinting to try to view my images, and I find that a waste of time.

My conclusion

I believe that if you are shopping around for a digital photo frame then you might want to stay away from the Aiptek Mona Lisa. It has little to offer and the few features that it does offer isn't worth $200. It may have a built-in camera but believe me when I say it's nothing to go talking about to your friends.
