Studies have shown that indoor air can be up to 100% worse than the worst kind of outdoor air. The simple reason is that air can freely move about outside, and inside we have a closed environment where we simply recycle the air inside without hardly getting anything new.
Particles such as dust-mites, mold, and many other common household irritants, have the potential to cause headaches, illness and even cancer. This comes about from a buildup over a long period of time. Even if you don't experience anything when you first move into a house, after a time you could find that these effects start to take over. It's because your body was fighting against these toxins the whole time and now you're body is starting to get overwhelmed. This is a common occurrence and many people simply push it away as either age or other minor problems. The fact is this doesn't have to be normal.
By filtering out the air properly you'll find living conditions improve, especially if there are those in your family who have allergies or asthma. I've seen first-hand how a friend of mine who had allergies was having problems with the air, but after filters were installed her problem went away and she's been doing fine since then.
But there are many different kinds of filters, and the most common one is the paper filter. The problem with this filter is that they are normally only 2% effective against the 20 Million+ particles in a cubic foot of air. You can purchase better paper filters, but it then costs you more in your furnace bill because your furnace has to work harder to pull the air through that thicker mesh.
Single room units are also a common option, such as the Oreck air purifiers. The problem with these however, is that even though they are not put on the furnace but in a room by itself, it will still be filtering the air in the entire home, only this time passively. The dynamics of air is that even in a closed environment, like a home, it will still move around within that area. So this single-room unit is having all the air in the house thrown at it, which makes its effective range somewhere in the vicinity of two feet. It simply was not designed to take on an entire house, and every air filter will in effect become just that: a whole house filter.
I've told you this because I wanted to make a strong case for the filters that I've seen work. Air can either be good to breathe or bad based on what we do to it. If we don't clean it and live as we normally do, the air will be full of toxins that we continuously breathe in. Our bodies can't handle this in a long run scenario.
Polarized Media Filters is a filter that goes on your furnace like a paper filter, but it works differently in that it sends a 7000 volt charge into a carbon media. The charge is harmless to us, but it creates a static electricity field which attracts all particles to the filter. The field also makes smaller particles attract to other smaller particles which combined makes bigger particles which can then be caught in the filter. I know this is a bit confusing. But it really is quite simple. It's like taking a balloon and rubbing it on your head, the balloon sticks to your hair. Well, this is really all that's happening with this filter.
I can only say that this is very important to your health and that I would encourage all to check into this. If you would like further information about cleaning your air visit www.airlifeone.com.
We all spend at least 10 hours a day at home, simply sleeping for those who are busier than others. During that time your body needs a break, not more work. This will help your body to cope better with sickness as it will no longer be fighting against the overload of toxins that are in most homes, without costing as much as single room units, and without the effective/airflow problems of paper filters.

Post a CommentI'm more than willing to know more about the technology that you're talking about. One thing I'm seeing by initially reading your comment is that this air cleaner requires 102 filter changes in one year. The Polarized Media Filters on average need changing only about once in three to six months. I say three because if you're placing one in a home that has not been filtered as efficiently before then the tendency is that this filter would fill up faster. After the first six month period though it would only need to be changed once every six months to maintain efficiency. I would like to hear more about your suggestion though if you have a chance.
What about a whole home electronic air cleaner (EAC) that uses non-metallic material (no messy cleaning) and maintains continuous high efficiency - and just requires 102 filter changes a year? AspenAir Inside does that
