Al Gore: Should We Be Preparing for the Effects of Global Warming?

Since Global Warming is such an important issue, I decided to research the topic and study it from every angle. Having done that, I am now more confused than ever because; even though there is ample evidence to support your theories on global warming, there is also sufficient evidence to support those who oppose it.

For those of us who are not scientists, how are we supposed to differentiate between what is right and what is wrong, or truth from exaggeration and outright fabrication? There are a host of experts and professionals who agree wholeheartedly with your facts concerning Global Warming. Much of the public also believes you when you say we need to act now.

Those who appose you say you are an alarmist and are doing this for money and fame. But you seemed to have always been a man of integrity and you already had fame and fortune.

We needed someone like you to raise our awareness about what we have been doing to our planet. Thanks to you, we have developed habits that are clean and conserve energy, saving us money in the process. But, should we be doing more?

Regardless of the controversy associated with Global Warming; anyone who has been paying any attention at all has seen the radical changes in our climate and knows that something is not right. Christians around the world believe we are approaching the End Times- the days Jesus Christ said we would recognize by certain signs, which He described.

"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." (Matt.24:6)

Then there are all of the predictions of severe climate changes as we approach December 21, 2012. What do your scientists have to say about it? I read that other planets are also showing signs of global warming. Isn't this a clue that maybe something in the universe is affecting all of the planets simultaneously?

Should we be preparing? Are the coastlines really going to be under water? Are sun flares going to knock out the grid, setting us back to the time before technology?

"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken." (Luke 21:25)

Many of the experts who have opposed your global warming theories have also debunked the 2012 theories so it may come and go without incident. But it's obvious to most of us that there is terrible unrest in the world along with climate changes and the growing intensity of storms and natural disasters. Winters are colder and summers are hotter.

However, the environment isn't the only problem we are facing. Most of us understand that due to the sophistication of modern day weapons, war could come to our own shores now. Global unrest is getting worse, along with disease, famine and pestilence. Our economy is failing more and more each day and our country seems to be going to hell in a hand basket.

America was once a God-fearing nation, but in 1963, the Supreme Court expelled the Father of Jesus Christ from all public schools. The name of God wasn't even allowed to be spoken anywhere on school grounds. Look back at the time before America rejected God. Now look at the times we're living in.

Nations that turn from God, relinquish God's protection. For several years, millions suffered severe affliction; while the United States, still a Christian nation at the time, was spared. The bible says; that when calamity comes upon a city, God is the one who sends it.

America has turned from God and what has been the result?

"In our cities, the towers have fallen (biblically the overarching symbols of power and might). And before that, tanks rumbled menacingly down the streets of Chicago, soldiers shot students at an American university, there was the assassination of the president; the ravages of Vietnam, more assassinations and racism, a populace polarized into deeply etched political hatreds of one another, the two Gulf wars and Islamic terrorism. Eight of the 10 greatest natural disasters in American history have occurred in the last 10 years alone. And now we are faced with endless war in the Middle East and a collapsing economy claimed to be worse than the 1929 depression." Resource- Good News Christian Ministries

Now that America has turned from God our suffering has begun and it's going to get much worse. Since the beginning of time, our world has never experienced such times as these and according to scriptures, it never will again.

Apparently Sir, you have no idea of the role America plays in the End Times.

Only the Father of Jesus Christ knows when all of these things will take place because it is on a sliding scale. By turning back to God and earnest prayer, Christians can delay the terrible things the unbelievers will have to suffer as the End draws near.

It is God's will that none should perish. By delaying the end as long as possible, we can save more souls. This world is temporary. The spiritual world is permanent. If only your eyes could open so you could see the truth.

"And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha." (2 Kings 6:17)

If your eyes could be opened, you would faint dead away at the multitude of angels surrounding us all. There is a war going on that we cannot see. However, a time is coming when all will see.

Mr. Gore, your labor toward fighting Global Warming is very much appreciated, but your efforts would be better spent turning our nation back to God. Without His sovereign protection, our country is doomed. Our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, warned us about what was coming as we neared the end of the age, and it's happening just as He said.

"Behold I have told you before.
