Al Pacino Joins the Star-Studded Cast of Oceans 13

How many big time actors and actresses you can name from the cast of Oceans 11 and 12? Cast members include Andy Garcia, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Bernie Mac and Julia Roberts, just to name a few. Now add one more name to that talented list of actors: the legendary Al Pacino.

Al Pacino is one of the most well known and well liked actors in cinema today and his presence will be a welcome addition to this cast that failed to live up to its hype in Oceans 12, the sequal to Oceans 11. Hopefully, this third rendition of the film, Oceans 13 directed by Steven Sodenbergh, will have a good plot with plenty of humor, twists and turns.

Al Pacino has been in numerous classic films including Scarface, the Godfather, Scent of a Woman, Two for the Money, and the Recruit. Al Pacino had not appeared in a film for quite some time but part of that reason has to do with him getting up in age. In Scent of a Woman, Al Pacino put on an amazing display of acting as he starred as a blind ex- military lieutenant. In Scent of a Women Al Pacino won his first award for Best Actor.

The film Oceans 13 is due out in theaters this coming Spring in June. The exact release date is on July 21, 2007. Almost all members of the original cast are due to return to this third film but the role of Julia Roberts is unknown. She does not appear in the credits for actors in Oceans 13 and she is not expected to be in Oceans 13. In Oceans 11 and 12. Julia Roberts plays the role of Danny Ocean's (George Clooney) wife.

In Oceans 11 the plot centered around a robbery of a casino. The plot was done very well and has a lot of action and suspense. In Oceans 12, the plot centered on a competition between Danny Ocean's crew of thieves and a chase with another criminal called the Night Fox to steal a large golden egg worth millions.

From glimpses of the previews in theaters that I have seen, Al Pacino will have a fairly large role but the plot is still relatively unknown to movie viewers.
