Al Qaeda's Ayman Al-Zawahri Calls Obama a "House Negro"
An unverified audio tape of Ayman Al-Zawahri, Osama Bin Laden's right hand, has been making the rounds in some militant websites. Al-Zawahri called Obama, as well as secretaries of State Condeleezza Rice and Colin Powell, a "house negro" and says he "the direct opposite of honorable black Americans" such as Malcolm X, the 1960s black rights leader known for advocating reverse racism and using violence. In essence, he called Obama an Uncle Tom.
While blatant racism will always make for an intriguing headline, the most important aspect of the audio tape, to me, is Al-Zawahri's response to the possibility tapering of troops in OIF (Operation Iraqi Freedom) and sending them to OEF (Operation Enduring Freedom) to stabilize Afghanistan. As insensitive as it might be, I find the inflammatory racial language to be less important than the threats against soldiers that are expected to re-route toward Afghanistan.
According to Al-Zawahri, this shift will result in nothing but failure because Afghans will resist. Most importantly, he said that the "...dogs of Afghanistan have found the flesh of your soldiers to be delicious, so send thousands after thousands to them."
Send that last quote to the Marines in Afghanistan and let's see what they think! There's nothing as frightening as a group of angry marines ready to use you for target practice.
No doubt this audio tape is the child of fear. The fear that the surge was successful in Iraq and will have similar results in Afghanistan. The fear of pictures of major Al Qaeda operatives being found by American troops hiding in dark holes in the ground splashed across international news media and going out the way of Saddam Hussein.
It's time to turn that fear into a reality.

Post a CommentInteresting. In my side of the world, there is the abu sayyaf sowing fear in Mindanao. Hapless citizens are caught between "fires" of government troops and this group. War is an exercise in futility. There is no winner in war, only victims. War is bitter while peace is better.

I will be glad when one of those Marine Corp scout snipers get that funky looking man in their sights. Does he not realize that he is living in a hole some where because he is afraid to show his place in public. He is just like his wimp friend Bin Laden, hiding, I don't see President Bush or elect Obama hiding. His day will definitely come.
