Cruise promoter, Linda Wolf, made the informed decision to schedule the Twilight Cruise far enough in advance to give fans ample time to come up with the required fare... a wise idea, in tough economic times.
However, those who have their heart set on sailing with Alice and Emmett should be aware that 350 out of the 500 beds that have been set aside for Twilight fans have already been spoken for. Although, has already been talk of securing additional beds, on Holland America's Oosterdam, if necessary.
In addition to the actual Alaska Twilight Fans Cruise, travelers also have the option of booking and enjoying a 4 day/3 night pre-cruise package to Seattle and the now famous Forks, Washington.
Guests will stay overnight in Seattle and travel to Forks, via motor coach, on day two. There, they will be able to see, first-hand, many of the places mentioned in the Twilight series including La Push Beach and the high school that Bella and the Cullen's attended.
Fans will return to Seattle, the evening of day two. They will tour the city on day three and begin the cruise on day four. Tentative points of call include Glacier Bay, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan, Victoria British Columbia and back to Seattle.
With so much going on during the Twilight cruise, fans will hardly have time to rest. Planned activities are many... welcome aboard party, charity auction, costume ball and contest, photo shoot, autograph session and more!
Participants will be happy to learn that all Twilight-related events are private. Only fans who have booked through Ms. Wolf's cruise agency will be allowed to attend and I.D. badges will be issued.
Besides the actual fare there is an additional fee of $150, per guest, who is over the age of 12. This 'Twilight Convention at Sea Registration Fee' is due by May 20th, 2010. (The same day that the fare must be paid in full.) An initial deposit of $200, per passenger, is due when the Alaska Twilight Fan Cruise is booked as well.
There is a payment plan available, for those who unable to pay their fare in one lump sum. This makes the cruise more affordable to Twilight fans, everywhere!
