Alberto Del Rio Fulfills His DESTINY

Alberto Del Rio has been talking about fulfilling his 'DESTINY' since winning the Royal Rumble back in January. Del Rio let the WWE Universe know that it was his 'DESTINY' to become World Heavyweight Champion; However, Del Rio feel short at WrestleMania XXVII and Extreme Rules. Before competing at Extreme Rules, Del Rio was drafted to Raw during the WWE Draft. He was not able to bring the World Heavyweight Championship with him to Raw but he was able to bring his 'DESTINY'. Now that Del Rio was on Raw his 'DESTINY' had changed a little. Instead of becoming World Heavyweight Champion Del Rio's 'DESTINY' was to become WWE Champion. Del Rio wasted little time fulfilling his 'DESTINY'. Last month at Money In The Bank, Del Rio won the Raw Money In The Bank Ladder Match by grabbing the Money In The Bank Briefcase. As the holder of the Money In The Bank Briefcase Del Rio can cash it in at anytime for a WWE Championship Match. Del Rio was about to cash it in at Money In The Bank but Punk escaped though the crowd. A few weeks later Del Rio was going to cash it in on Raw but Mysterio attacked him outside the ring, causing Del Rio to flea. This caused Del Rio to wait for his next opportunity at SummerSlam.

At SummerSlam Del Rio fulfilled his 'DESTINY' by successfully cashing in his Money In The Bank Briefcase. Del Rio was presented with the perfect opportunity. CM Punk and John Cena had just finished wrestling for the WWE Championship. Punk was able to pull out the victory even though Cena had his foot on the ropes. As Punk was celebrating his Championship victory, Kevin Nash made his return to the WWE by entering through the crowd. Nash entered the ring and nailed Punk with a 'Jack Knife Power Bomb'. Seconds later Alberto Del Rio's music played throughout the arena. Del Rio headed for the ring with a referee to cash in his Money In The Bank Briefcase.

Since Nash had already laid out Punk the only thing Del Rio needed to do was kick him in the skull and cover him. Doing so allowed Del Rio to get the three count and fulfill his 'DESTINY' by becoming the new Undisputed WWE Champion.
