Wayne most definitely leads the way. He features on every track but one, and that one track happened to be the worst on the project. An inappropriate song featuring teeny-boppers Lil Twist and Lil Chuckee (who really does look like chuckie) rapping about women, I'll pass.
Some of his features are there for the better but the majority could have been left out. His hook on "Ms. Parker" is borderline nauseating and I almost had to turn this off after hearing him on "She Is Gone", awful.
What's disappointing is that Drake, the distinct standout of the group, doesn't really show up on the album. He does appear five times, but all were relatively mediocre verses. In terms of lyrical skill and vary in flow, in general, I would put him at the top spot of the Young Money crew but he sounds about the same as everyone on here.
The spotlight instead was cast on some of the relatively lesser-known members, Jae Millz, Gudda Gudda, and Mack Maine. None of them are bad rappers, but they all could use work. Recycled flows and monotonous lyrical concept drag these guys down on most songs they have verses on.
Nicki Minaj also had a few features on the album but personally, I'm not a fan. I can maybe see why people are feeling her on a song like "Roger That", but her flow and voice are just way to annoying for me.
A couple tracks worth listening to are the opener "Gooder" and "New Sh-t", other than that, most of the album is skippable. I'll pass on the Gucci Mane feature on "Steady Mobbin'" as well as the extremely corny "Bedrock".
Worth picking up the two tracks mentioned above but leave the rest of the album alone. Hip Hop purists needed not even read this review though, I can guarantee your not gonna like any of it.
