River of Lights
Rio Grande Botanic Visitors are invited to enjoy hundreds of thousands of holiday lights and displays at this walk-through light extravaganza. It is said to be New Mexico's biggest one. Each year new sculptures are added by Albuquerque BioPark artists. In addition to the thousands of twinkling lights, visitors can also enjoy live entertainment from different choirs, do holiday crafts with their children, and shop for unique holiday items at the gift shop. Food and drinks are also available for purchase. River of Lights guests can also take a buckboard ride at Heritage Farm. The River of Lights opens on November 24th and runs thru December 30th, and are closed on Dec. 24th and 25th. Admission is $6.00 for adults, $2.00 for children, and two years and under are free. While you are there, be sure to visit the G-scale model railroad located within the Botanic Garden. They are open from 6 to 9 pm from Wednesday through Sundays through December 30th. Christmas Luminara Tour
The best the city of Albuquerque has to offer can be found through their Christmas luminara tour. Every year, the best districts of Albuquerque line their streets with brown paper bags fitted with tiny burning candles. You'll enjoy the best parts of the city when you get out and tour the Luminaras. This event always happens on Christmas Eve, December 24th, so the way is lighted for the Christ child. Come on out an enjoy the best districts in the city as they light their way up and down the streets! Located throughout the city of Albuquerque.
San Felipe de Neri Parish
This beautiful church, built back in 1793, is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
