Metal stings the tongue.
Hold the breath that burns,
Hold it 'til it hurts,
Blow it out,
Try to do it slowly,
And do it without that
Spluttering gasp for air
That will only make it worse.
Inhale, exhale,
Make the fireflies go away,
And wait for the chains to break.
Slow and steady,
Not the instinct-panic that
Screams
"Breathe, God-Damnit! Breathe!"
So you slow yourself
And breathe.
