Alchemy is a very decent rip of the classic Magic the Gathering: online game. You create a deck of cards (creatures, monsters, etc..) and battle through missions or other players to earn rank, gold, and additional cards. This is how you increase your strength so you can battle through additional missions.

This game is still in its early stages so expect additional features to pop up as it goes. What I really like about this game so far is that the booster cards are earned or purchased. If you wish to purchase them you can do that with in-game coins you earn, or their cash. Unlike other games of this genre, or on Facebook itself, there is no feature et that is ONLY cash.

I have noticed a lot of people trashing this game because another game, called Warstorm, is similar in its design. What these people are failing to realize is MTG:online has been around for years and is the same design also. So this means their precious Warstorm game is ripped from that as well. Each of these games has its unique card sets and ways they work, so they are each unique in their own way.

This game, while still in the early stages is very well assembled. The graphics are well thought out, the menus are simple, and although I am unable to get any sound from it yet, there is a sound mute button (which some games lack on Facebook) so I am assuming sound is forth coming. The missions become hard very quickly and eventually you are relegated to just doing the daily missions until you build your deck up. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys CCG's or who has a few minutes to kill and just wants to watch the cards fight themselves.

Now for the down side...

You cannot choose which cards in your hand are played, as you can in MTG, but neither does the computer. Card draws are random, and seem pretty good at randomizing the cards for draws, but the 50% miss rate on flying creatures seems to be closer to 75%. All in all though this is a pretty good game. Give it a try.
