Alec Baldwin Leaves Verbally Abusive Message for 11 Year Old Daughter
The reason for the outburst is thought to be because the child did not answer the phone for a scheduled phone call. The call was made to a cell phone that was not turned on. The message recorded Baldwin screaming at the child calling her names, saying she had no brains or decency. He goes on to say that he doesn't care that she is a child and insults her mother. He threatens to fly to Los Angeles for a day just to "straighten you out".
Spokespersons for Baldwin have told reporters that Baldwin would be following court orders and would not comment on the incident. They have accused the mother of leaking the tape, which is a violation of a court order.
Audio of the tape showing just how much rage the message conveyed can be downloaded on the celebrity news site TMZ.com. The call was allegedly made on April 11, 2007.
Calls to Kim Bassinger, who is in the middle of a messy divorce with Baldwin were not returned. Since divorce proceedings began in 2001 the two have been in a better feud.

The full message contains several minutes of insults and abusive remarks to his child. Profanity and name calling and rage fill the message. Outraged because the child did not answer the phone at a specific time, Baldwin tells her she has made a fool of him, because he stops whatever he is doing to make the call. He accuses her of playing games with him. At least twice he threatens to straighten her out. He even tells her she had better be read on Friday April 20 to meet him. There have been no confirmed reports as to whether the meeting will still take place today.
There has been no word on the 11 year olds reaction to the message left by her father. Some speculate this outrageous incident will prevent Baldwin from visitation as ordered by the divorce decree.

Post a CommentNo one should ever do that to a child, regardless of the child's behavior. HE is supposed to be the adult and set an example for his daughter no matter waht. I do wonder though, just how much brainwashing the mother is doing. This goes on in most divorces, I'm sorry to say. This is why when I was a counselor I didn't want to do marriage counseling. I was too tempted to tell them to grow-up and shut-up. My rule of thumb, don't have kids if you can't be act any more mature than they do!
Not the way to act with your kids but being in the public eye all of the time must be a real pain. Thank God I am not.
Any grown man that could call his pre-teen child a pig with no brain doesn't deserve to have any visitation. He kept saying, "You make me feel..you make me feel..." He's selfish, immature, and uh...an "adult" brainless pig!
He seems like a total narcissist -- everything is about me me me, how it affects him and makes him look.
