Alec Baldwin Screams at His Eleven Year Old Daughter Ireland

Alec Can Be Heard in a Tape Recording of His Verbal Tirade to His Daughter Ireland

Shana Dines
The father of Ireland, the eleven-year-old child of Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin was verbally abused and terrorized by her father on a telephone answering machine. It was recorded and will be used against him.

He was outraged because she was not accepting his telephone calls, which are set up at specific times. You can hear him screaming that the telephone was not even turned on. He takes time out of whatever he is doing and stops to call her at 10:30 and at 11:00 at night. He calls her repeatedly and she never answers him. He berated her, yelling and called her a selfish little pig. He said he didn't care if she was only a child, almost twelve years old, he was going to tell her what he thought and how he felt. He was going to fly over there and straighten her ass out.

He repeatedly called her a rude little pig. She disappointed him and insulted him for the last time. He called her brainless and indecent with no concern for him. She humiliated him and he was so angry at her and made him feel like a fool over and over again. She did this to him constantly and would never dream of doing this to her mother. Alec told her that he was going to go and spend the day and straighten her ass out and leave. She better be ready for him on Friday!

He also slammed her mother, Kim Basinger, calling her a thoughtless pain in the ass that didn't care what her daughter did. He yelled and screamed in an emotional tirade that was horrifying to hear. It can be heard on the Internet in the news. It makes you cringe to hear a father talk that way to his daughter.

On Wednesday Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner Maren Nelson temporarily suspended Baldwin's visitation rights. There is a court date set for May 4th to discuss his visitation rights, which could be permanently taken suspended.

Too little too late a friend of Baldwins called to say that Baldwin was sorry for his behavior. Unfortunately he can not take back the abuse that he has already dealt out. He claims that Basinger has done everything that she can to alienate him from his daughter Ireland for the last six years. Maybe she has good reason. It will be interesting to hear what Kim Basinger has to say about his past behavior and if this is usual for him.

He was definetly abusive. Unfortunately, he is no different than most parents of today. It is so common for parents to talk to their children like that, and alot worse, without a second thought. How sad our families are becoming. I gave up counseling children & families because I just couldn't listen to it anymore.

Humm? I wonder what is said on the phone to him? Alec Baldwin as an actor sucks, but as a dad who doesn't know how old his kid is? What kind of dad is this? Maybe the same that get to see his child once a week if the mother lets him. Why would he be call any child names unless the kid did something to him? Strange. Well not really. I see it all the time where the mothers make their children be nasty to the fathers, because they don't like fathers anymore. So who's side do you take as a child? Mom's who you live with, or dad's who you never see?

Even if she didn't answer the phone on purpose, can you blame her with the way he talks to her? Would you want to talk to someone that called you names? It's probably NOT the first time this has happened.

Yeah I can't imagine why she wouldn't want to answer the phone, assuming it was even her fault! He is such a bullying ass.

I hope you are right and that you ARE NOt A DAD! If you ever are I hope you change a lot of you lthink any of that behavior is acceptable! thanks all of you, who have said that that abuse is unacceptable.

Not a dad - It's a good thing you're not a dad. Good parents don't call their 11 year old little girl a brainless, indecent, rude little pig. The other side of the story (his side) doesn't make any difference either. Even if the child wasn't a perfect little angel, calling a child terrible names is NEVER acceptable under any circumstances. I have raised my voice to my children like all parents have at times, and I'm not a perfect parent, but no, I'd NEVER stoop to calling them degrading humiliating names. Assuming everyone does this is wrong, and those who do need professional counseling. Kids shouldn't be put in the middle when parents can't get along. They are innocent.

"Dad" is not a biological assignment, it's an emotional choice. You can choose to love and nuture others, or not. He's not her Dad. I don't blame her for refusing to answer the phone, and I hope the judge protects her.

Wow it is amazing to think that a dad would think that this is normal behavior! Unfortuantely I think that it is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too usual. and like Heather I grew up with a lot of verbal and other abuse and it is extremely damaging. I hope that if anyone does read this and does what Alec did they may see the damage that it can cause their kids. It is horribl.

Most people don't speak that way to their children no matter how angry they are? You're kidding right? More than most people yell and scream at their kids in just this way when they are angry, just go to the mall or grocery store and watch. We don't know the whole story and shouldn't rush to judgement after hearing one side of things.

Funny thing is that he's all for putting animals on a pedestal and treating them with "respect" but he can't even treat his own daughter the way any human should be treated: with some decensy and respect.
