Before you start the googlin searching - wait for the best part...Blue, along with fellow naughty nymphs Kaylkani Lei and Jessica Drake was here in Philadelphia for a weekend that made Girls Gone Wild look like a Girl Scout Jamboree. Friday, Blue appeared, performed, smiled, danced, signed, hugged, danced and DANCED at Club Risque. Saturday, she drank a few brewskis with the crowd at National Mechanics in Old City. Proving that working for Associated Content is the coolest job in the world, this lucky fellow snagged and interview.
Associated Content: Are you excited to visit Philly?
Alektra Blue: Yes, I am! I love Philadelphia. I have a lot of great fans there. I was just at an event a month or so ago at Oasis. It was a great time.
AC: What makes it a great time? No pervs?
AB: Well, yeah....[Laughs] But honestly, all my fans are great people. And when they show up it is fantastic. Sometimes at certain clubs, when I am dancing - the girls can be kind of mean. It hasn't happened often, but that can ruin my time there. But that didn't happen in Philly.
AC: What do you mean the girls are kind of mean? The other dancers?
AB: Yeah, but like I said that doesn't happen to often. Maybe a few dirty looks-but who cares. But Philly- everyone was so friendly.
AC: So at Club Risqué on Friday you will be dancing?
AB: Ahunh...I am excited.
AC: I am sure your fans are, literally, bursting with excitement... So besides visiting Philly, what else have you been up to?
AB: Getting ready for my first big film with WICKED. I haven't done a big film yet, and we are scheduled to go when I get back in town.
AC: You just joined Wicked, right? Why them over another Adult studio?
AB: I wanted to become a great actress, and there is really no better place to do that then Wicked. They are the best, and incredible to work with.
AC: You've most been focused on the "performance" part of the movies so far...and not acting.
AB: My whole career has been performance - and now it is going to be both. I haven't been given roles yet, but with Wicked I will. I will get to act - and that is very exciting.
AC: Are you nervous?
AB: Ahunh...I am very nervous. But everyone is so great to work with and supportive. I am sure. I will be fine.
AC: Out of all your movies, which was your favorite?
AB: Hmmmmmmm....My favorite was my "Total Interactive Control of Alektra Blue. The whole movie was me...And it was cool to have the whole movie be about me. It was also a neat movie because it gave the fans exactly what they wanted. They could pick what they wanted to watch from a lot of different choices.
AC: Really took the term "viewer's choice" to a new level, hunh...
AB: [Laughs] Yes, that is true. .
AC: You worked with the legendary Jessica Drake when she directed you in "What Girls Like." She's coming with you to Philly this weekend....Dish to me what she was like as a director....
AB: She was great. Very laidback, she new exactly what she was doing and what she wanted. The really great thing about that movie was that Jessica gave me a whole massive bit of dialogue. It was my first big dialogue role.
AC: Female directors...Better or worse then male?
AB: Hmmmmmmmm....Not better or worse really....But, female directors are a bit more relaxed. But it doesn't really matter; so far everyone has treated me well. Brad Armstrong is also one of my favorites...We did "Fallen" and that was a great movie. He and I are working together again on my new movie.
DigPhilly: You just won the 2008 AVN Award for Best All Girl Scene, congratulations!
AB: Thanks! I was lucky to work with some really talented girls and we all had a great time.
AC: It certainly looked like a great time! Can you give me any details on the new movie you are working on?
AB: It's still in development. I think we are going to call it Alektrafied...maybe....
AC: That is a fantastic porn title....
AB: Yes, we are planning to really jump into it possibly the last weekend of June.
AC: Tell me the truth - Alektra Blue isn't really your real name, is it?
AB: No, it is my stage name. When I came into the industry, I was a big fan of Carmen Elektra. I loved her and her name. I wanted something that was kind of normal but still sexy, like Carmen Elektra. Someone suggested use Elektra, but I didn't want to copy it so I used a different spelling. For a while, I was just Alektra...But you need a first and last name to be searched on the internet.
AC: So it's a tribute to Carmen Electra! That is great. Okay, no give me some advice...What do I need to remember to break into the adult business?
AB: The main thing that I didn't know when I started out was that you only do what you want to do. You can say NO. You are not forced to do what you don't want!
AC: So for now, you're expanding your acting roles...Any other plans for the future?
AB: Eventually down the road I would think about maybe directing or writing...But I want to concentrate on becoming a great actress. Anything else is a bit down the road. I need to take baby steps. Baby steps!
AC: Can I treat you to a famous Philly cheesesteak when you are here?
AB: [Laughs] Maybe!
