Alex DeLarge from A Clockwork Orange Halloween Costume: Clothing
Alex DeLarge and the other droogs of his "ultraviolent" gang dress identically (so you could quickly turn this into a group Halloween costume). You will need a white button-up shirt, white pants (I recommend Dickies), and white suspenders. This is a great costume because it is easy to put together at the last minute when the other Halloween costumes have long been sold out.
Alex DeLarge from A Clockwork Orange Halloween Costume: Hair
Alex's hair was a bit shaggy and hung down to just below his ears. As long as your hair will stick out from under your derby hat you will be fine. If not, I suggest that you pick up a shaggy brown wig.
Alex DeLarge from A Clockwork Orange Halloween Costume: Makeup
You will greatly accentuated eyelashes on your right eye. There are a couple of ways to go about this. First is to pick up some false eyelashes and affix them to the top and bottom lashes of your right eye only. This can be difficult for males (females too, but we have had more practice) so you may wish to go with the second option. Your other, less frustrating option for creating this look is to draw eyelashes on your bottom eyelid (or bottom and top eyelids) on your right eye using black eyeliner.
Alex DeLarge from A Clockwork Orange Halloween Costume: Accessories
There are a lot of great accessories that go along with the Alex DeLarge Halloween costume. A few that are MUST HAVE items are of course the black felt derby hat and black combat boots. If you want a truly authentic costume, you will also need a white athletic supporter and a cane. And if you are feeling extremely committed to the costume or just want some good photos before you go out on Halloween night, add a glass of milk to the mix.
