Alex Rodriguez Centaur: A Bizarre Canvas Above A-Rods Bed

For those of you who aren't well versed in mythical creatures, a centaur is a half-man half-horse. Typically, the upper torso of a centaur is that of a human. The bottom half is a horse.

If Alex Rodriguez wanted a mythical painting, why didn't he make himself a dragon, or better yet a unicorn? A centaur is a little strange looking, and leads me to wonder what half of his body A-Rod thinks is like a horse.

I just saw a guy today at the shoe store wearing a t-shirt that reminded me of the Alex Rodriguez centaur paintings. It said half man, half horse and has a hand pointing up where it reads "half man" and down where it reads "half horse." The shirt is appropriate for certain groups - for instance those under the age of 20 or those under the influence of mind-altering substances. However, the vanity that a shirt like this portrays is similar to the vanity that must be behind Alex Rodriguez's paintings.

My favorite analogy of what must be going through Alex Rodriguez's mind is from a Twitter user IAmCentaur. According to Tech Banyan, IAmCentaur quoted "I told my teammates a few minutes ago, ride me to a world championship. I'll carry all of you. A centaur can do that"

Maybe A-Rod thinks that if he's "centaur" enough he will be able to pull off a world championship on his own. Although this is not likely to be the case - there is no "I" in team - it wouldn't surprise me if Alex Rodriguez felt this way.

Who can A-Rod thank for the centaur painting going public? A jilted ex-girlfriend. That's right - A-Rod actually allowed someone from the opposite sex to feast their eyes on his prize possessions - 2 Alex Rodriguez centaur paintings.

I guess the moral of the story is if you bring someone to bed with you and you have two paintings of yourself as a mythical creature, don't tick them off. They know about your strange paintings. No one will think they are as cool as you think they are, and the individual is liable to tell everyone about your embarrassing paintings and you will be the laughing stock of all of Narnia.
