This is nothing new when it comes to Alex Rodriguez and his personal life. Ever since he left the Seattle Mariners and signed the richest contract ever for a Major League baseball player with the Texas Rangers, he has been subject to extra scrutiny and placed under a microscope. When he became a New York Yankee several years ago, that was pushed even further, as then his personal life became almost a daily viewing on Page Six.
Now that he has been linked with Madonna, and has reportedly been dating her for some time, the New York media has looked for any chance to jump on him. This latest link made by entertainment newspapers between Alex Rodriguez and model Melissa Britos could have been seen coming, even if he is only seeing her as a friend.
A-Rod has become a lighting rod in recent years as the Yankees have begun to slide in both success and in post-season appearances. They haven't won a World Series since he became a Yankee, and his struggles in the post-season have been one of the main reasons that sports writers following the Yankees seem to really dis-like the guy.
It is probably a form of jealousy, due to how much money he is making for simply playing a game, but rather than just stick to what is taking place on the field, it has become more about who Alex Rodriguez is dating next, will he move on to the next girl, and if he is cheating with a prior relationship. Whether any of the rumors are true or not, Rodriguez is being placed back in the news for all the wrong reasons.

Wow, even Madonna isn't safe from cheaters? Even sports figures are not safe from gossip? Who knew they were human too?
