Alex Rodriguez and Playboy Bunny Bounce Across Headlines

Unseemly Accusations Abound Leaving No Room for Privacy and Apparently No Room for Moral Thought

Layla Lair
Bad boy Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees seems to be clouding sports scores and news with his recent antics of strippers, strip clubs, and naughty boy ways. What is it about some pro sport stars? Does all the stardom and attention damage their ability to make decisions or cloud normal thought? Is the right for privacy in their personal life also sacrificed by this stardom?

Perhaps too much time spent in the sun bakes the brain, or could it be that money causes confusion. Maybe money is truly the root of all evil and encourages these self gratifying, self destructive and selfish actions without thought to love ones or fans.

Then again, maybe it was the strippers fault. Yes, that sounds good...lets blame the strippers. I mean who could turn down a playboy type bunny hunny with all the bells and whistles calling out like a Siren leading ships ashore?

Most wives would say with conviction that their husband had better be "the one" to resist this ever-tempting song. Do wives of sport stars accept a certain amount of "boys will be boys" bad behavior though? Do regular everyday wives accept this? That question is purely rhetorical, my apologies.

If someone achieves fame, should we have the right to know about his or her alleged dirty text messaging or visitations to strip club paradise full of jiggle and wiggle? Do inquiring minds really want, or have the right to know that a woman other than his wife entered the elevator at his hotel with him as reported by the New York Post? Sadly, it appears the answer is yes.

At the end of the day, when Alex Rodriguez faces his wife, his mirror, and his fans, he will still be only a man. We are all accountable for our actions. As luck would have it though most of us do not have to watch our poorest moral choices played out for all to see. If we are truly lucky, our lowest moments are not backed up by color photos in the papers either.

As reported by the New York Post in an article titled "Playboy Alex's Private Dancer," A-Rod says frustrated "It's been enough" as he signs autographs. The media feeding frenzy has apparently taken its toll.

Some might say its time for a change on how we report certain things so that private lives are just that. With all the money earned for his skill at Baseball it is a shame privacy is something fame hands away. Could this also be an unwritten understanding? I guess the question is, should it be?

One last thought about Alex Rodriguez and his very beautiful but less blonde wife Cynthia. How hard it must be to carry oneself with such poise and grace under such times of duress. I am in awe that she can be seen publicly with Mr. A-Rod and grant even a token smile his way.

I tried to picture the "everyday wife" and predict how she might possibly react to such a public humiliation. A talk show about cheating spouses came to mind. One woman stands out in my memory from this show long since past. She had the most creative thing she did with Oral gel. (The mind is a wonderful place and some things are just better left to the imagination)

I am sure there are recipes online that might suit this occasion as well. Did you know that ex-lax comes in the flavor chocolate? Anyone for pie?
