Alfa Romeo Zagato T23 Corsa (translated) '" it Moves

Kyle Busch
If you have read
my recent articles,
you know that Alfa
Romeo
will be mak-
ing a return to the
U.S. market.

And one of the Alfas
to look for down the
road is the Zgato T23
Corsa
.

The Turin-based
design house Zagato
has made a modern

impression of its TZ series of Alfa Romeos. This one will be powered by a
320 hp 4.2-liter V8 from the 8C Competizione.

Called the TZ3 Corsa, this one of a kind Alfa was unveiled at the Villa
d'Este Concours. The car was commissioned by Alfa Romeo Zgato
collector Martin Kapp, and it has many of the styling cues earlier TZ
models including the Kamm-back profile.

The TZ3 Corsa uses race-car build techniques to keep the weight at
just 1,870 lbs. The Zagato uses a carbon-fiber space frame and handmade
aluminum body. Furthermore, the TZ3 Corsa is compact riding on a
98.4 inch wheelbase. It measures 171.1 in length. And the top speed?
Over 186 mph!

Alfa Romeo's return to the U.S. market not only promises cars with
exciting performance but also invigorating designs.
