The Bachelor Diaries of the Departed Video with Ali

Ali Hopes The Bachelor's Jake Will Seek Her Out
What we saw as the teaser for next week's episode of The Bachelor is a phone call from Ali to Jake when he's on his extended steamy bachelor party in St. Lucia with the last three contestants Tenley, Gia & Vienna. What we didn't see was Ali's remorseful but hopeful, pragmatic possibility that Jake might return to her as revealed on the Diaries of the Departed video released by ABC's The Bachelor producers on YouTube.

Doesn't Facebook Believe in Love?
On the YouTube video, the caption says Ali is an advertising account manager and it's reported by New York Magazine that Ali used up her vacation time to pursue Jake on the Bachelor not quite anticipating that she would make it to the final round. Employed by Facebook, Ali's heartless employer flatly stats the difficulty Ali faced in leaving Jake behind but reports they're glad to have her return.

"I'll Probably Regret Not Playing This Hand For The Rest of My Life."
The video is edited together so it's hard to say how much crying Ali had to get out of the way to film this Diary of the Departed video for Episode 6 of the Bachelor but she seems remarkably and resolutely clear headed and coherent about her decision to break up with Jake. Ali acknowledges she's not a gambler and wishes Jake the opportunity to be happy saying "he deserves a woman that would give up everything for the chance to be with him. I'd give up everything to be with him."

"I Wanted To Take Back Everything I Said"
Ali confesses when Jake kissed her goodbye at the limo she wanted to change her mind but knew that if she stayed she would repeatedly question her decision. "I knew that if I stayed, I would continue to question my choice to stay and I could not do that to him."

"My Heart Isn't Logical"
Pragmatic in her thinking, Ali realizes the insane circumstances of The Bachelor and how they pit multiple women against each other and that she needs to make sense of things by "going back to my life, my work makes sense. Sticking around here on a gamble, on a whim, that I feel like he could be the one...I can't justify that to myself."

"Love Will Prevail"
Yet, the romantic in Ali hasn't given up forever and is hopeful that if Jake and Ali are meant to be together then her Prince charming will return after what she's calling his time with Gia, Tenley and Vienna as a "very long and drawn out bachelor party with these girls. If he doesn't come and find me in the end, then I made the right decision in the first place."

Ali Could Be Next Season's Bachelorette
The internet is abuzz with rumors that Ali could be the next Bachelorette fueled by speculation by Reality Steve. He was accurate with the shocking Ali Jake prediction. We can only hope he is not right about the eventual winner *** SPOILER ALERT *** which has been reported as Vienna.

Ali as Mrs. Jake, Ali as Facebook Employee of the Year or Ali The Bachelorette
However, it's been said that Ali has not been confirmed as the next season's Bachelorette and that's probably due to negotiations with ABC and the network probably looking to see the buzz on the internet about Ali before signing on the dotted line. Perhaps Ali is checking in with her Facebook employers to find out what's doable. Plus ABC can't really make any announcements yet as the network has to leave open the possibility of a Bachelor shocker that Jake might pursue Ali after the show wraps. So until next week...

Ahhhhhh, Facebook. That makes sense. I guess it could be worse. She could work for MySpace.

Great takes on this article! I sure hope Vienna won't be Jake's choice. If that happens, the other women didn't lose much!

I believe that if Ali had strong feelings for Jake, she would have stayed. The way the job market is today, Ali could just as easily go back to her job and be let go next week. Maybe she just wasn't all that into him.
