Alice Cooper'stown in Phoenix: Best Grilled Meat This Side of Hell
A Review of the Rock 'n Roll Legend's Restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona
Phoenix, AZ 85004
United States of America
The bar and grill combines sports and Alice Cooper's brand of rock and roll. Games of every sport imaginable play on several very large screens while the metal sounds of Iron Maiden, Metallica and Mr. Cooper himself roar over the speakers. The décor includes two floors of rock 'n roll and Arizona related sports memorabilia.
With the mood set, it is time to settle down into a tasty heap of meaty goodness. Cooper'stown offers large portions of down home, carnivore comfort food. Fantastic meat loafs, sandwiches, burgers and assorted barbecue delights are complimented with tasty sides such as crispy seasoned fries and a notable chili. The Nightmare Chili is central to some of the restaurants best dishes such as the "Texaz" Chili Size burger and the "Frito Bandito" Chile Pie.
The gut-busting headliner is Cooper'stown's barbecue. The highlights are the pork ribs and smoked beef brisket. Cooper's custom barbecue sauces include a smoky flavor, a sweet flavor and a spicy flavor. They each compliment the grilled meats perfectly, depending upon your personal tastes. If any complaint can be made about the sauces, they spicy sauce isn't nearly as spicy as many rugged, manly heavy metal sports fans would prefer.
The restaurant's staff - usually tattooed, black attired and sporting Alice Cooper's classic eye makeup - is often friendly and helpful, with very few exceptions. Your oversized drink will never be empty and they are accustomed to answer the inevitable questions about Cooper and the numerous sports and music personalities that frequent the restaurant.
Cooper'stown is the perfect establishment for Alice Cooper fans, sports fans and any fans of meat. Gloriously grilled and perfectly seasoned meat.
A fully operational bar and stage on the patio hosts frequent concerts of local acts and the occasional rock 'n roll legend.
