With the Wii wireless controller in hand; players can jump into the twisted world and action of Alice in Wonderland, uniquely not as Alice, but as a variety of familiar characters from the timeless story. With absolutely stunningly rich and colorful visuals that bring every environment and character to life, players must make their way through the game in third person perspective as the White Rabbit, the March Hare, the Cheshire Cat, and more. The core playability of the game is that each of the characters has their own unique abilities and strengths. These attributes must be exercised in coordination with one another in order to solve puzzles, complete tasks, and boss battles. For example, much like a typical Lego platformer, to solve a challenge and earn progress in the game, the player simply swaps between characters when the need arises, and uses the currently selected character's abilities to complete the task at hand. Expanding upon that premise, single player isn't the only way to play and enjoy the game. In co-op mode, the experience can be shared simultaneously as each player has the legendary characters available to them for play.
Alice in Wonderland is a 3d platformer that offers a fun gaming experience clearly directed at a younger audience, or those looking for casual gameplay. Control for each character can easily be learned, and features the use of simple motions with the Wii remote to interact with the environment and any opponents. The challenges found throughout the game aren't overly difficult to accomplish, and experienced gamers will no doubt finish the game quickly. Overall, the title is worthwhile to play and will be particularly appealing to families with children, or those that are fans of the film.
