Alicia Silverstone Pregnant! She's the Latest in a Long Line of Pregnant Blondes

Alicia Silverstone is pregnant! The 34-year-old is expecting her first baby with husband Christopher Jarecki, and Alicia Silverstone reveals that she's wanted to be pregnant for a very long time.

"Clueless" star Alicia Silverstone just announced she's pregnant to People today, hours after news broke that the star of another teen classic, Selma Blair of "Cruel Intentions", is also pregnant with her first child. It's crazy to see all these teen screen queens with baby news, but even crazier to see just how many celebrity pregnancies there have been lately.

Alicia Silverstone's fellow blondes Kate Hudson and Jewel have both announced that they are pregnant during the last few days, while actor Owen Wilson recently announced that his girlfriend is pregnant with her first child. And this recent celebrity baby boom is making it a lot of fun to guess who will be next to announce a pregnancy.

But while we try to figure out just who will be the next celebrity to break the news that they are pregnant, this is also a great time to see where mommy-to-be Alicia Silverstone's career is right now. She may have told People that she's wanted to be a mother since she was two, but she's been busy acting since she was six, starting out in commercials before playing a "dream girl" on the "Wonder Years". However, she kind of dropped off the map after playing blonde bimbo Cher in "Clueless" and starring as Batgirl in one of the worst Batman movies.

She's been married to singer Christopher Jarecki since 2005, and despite seeming to disappear from the spotlight a bit after becoming a wife, she's got some big projects in the works. She's all set to play a vampire alongside Krysten Ritter and Sigourney Weaver in "Vamps", which sounds a bit like "Sex and the City" with bloodsuckers, and in "Butter" she stars alongside fellow hotties Olivia Wilde, Ashley Greene, and Jennifer Garner (oddly, the movie is about a girl with a talent for carving butter). However, I'd love to see her star in a "Clueless" sequel playing an ultra-fashionable mommy.

So congrats to Alicia Silverstone for becoming the latest lovely lady to announce that she's pregnant, and may this vamp's birth be a lot less messy than Bella's.
