Alien Versus Predator is a franchise of movies and games that started over 15 years ago. It combined 2 different movies into one big 2 hour long gore fest. But we're not talking about the movies, we're talking about the games. AVP (Alien Versus Predator) just released its newest title on February 16th. Sega came back from the grave to develop this game, and broke away from Nintendo to develop an FPS game for Xbox and PS3. Before this, I haven't heard from Sega in a while.

Anyway, the game is a great break from clocking days on Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. It was a refresher to learn there are other games out there that are playable. This is a game I would recommend to anyone that is getting tired of Call of Duty. It hooked me during its demo days, about 2 weeks before the game release. This game has 3 playable characters, the Aliens, Predators, and the Marines. This means there are 3 separate campaigns. The Predator Campaign is about 5 hours long, the Aliens have a 6 hour campaign and humans campaign is about 8 hours. Unfortunately, the best campaign is the predator, which also happens to be the shortest. The human campaign is the scariest, most repetitive, and of course this would be the longest one.

Playing through campaign will actually level you up online, which is why you will see many high levels so soon. Online is fun, but unbalanced. If you are an alien, then it will be hard to kill marines, if you are a marine, its hard to kill predators. And if your predators, its easier to kill everyone, because you are sort of a hybrid of a marine and alien, being as you have weapons like marines, and you have claws similar to the aliens. You cannot climb onto walls like aliens, but you can do anything marines can do, and more. Overall, Online is addicting, fast, and extremely stimulating. You need great reaction time to block and you have to know where your enemies are. In conclusion, I would recommend this to anyone getting bored of Call of Duty. Thanks for reading.
