Alien Visit

I had started tying the back door shut when he was gone on the truck. For some unknown reason the thing would fly open in the middle of the night slamming into the trailer and scaring the shit out of me. It never failed I would have drifted off to sleep and BAM, it would hit the back of the trailer. After a few nights of that, I decided enough was enough and tied the thing shut. It was now just a part of the nighttime ritual of checking the locks and turning out the lights.

Living out in the country on the top of a mountain could be lonely especially with my husband driving long haul through the week. My little one was only four at the time and the nights could be real long being the only adult out in the middle of nowhere.

I had begun having those alien dreams again. On and off for years, I had dreamed about UFO's and aliens. The dreams ranged from all kinds. I think I first started having the dreams when my grandma told me about the blue light. They had a little cinder block room built onto the side of their house and it was in that room that me and my sister slept when we went to visit. Seems long ago, in the middle of the night the room lit up with a huge blue light. The next day, there were chunks of large gray rock laying in the front yard. NASA came and took samples and told my grandparents it was a meteorite. That's when the alien dreams started, when I heard the story about the blue light.

Between those alien dreams and half waiting on the door to slam open, good rest was a commodity I only enjoyed when my husband was home. I was looking forward to getting some sleep one Sunday night and felt safe because he was there.

Instantly waking out of a sound sleep, I looked at the bottom of the bed and there stood a black alien thing about three feet tall. My hairs rose up on my arms and as I felt the panic welling up, I looked into its large luminous eyes. It telepathically conveyed to me it was a female and that I was safe. My mind resisted and as I began to form the scream that would wake my husband, my body went into a paralytic state and I passed out.

The next thing I knew it was morning and I was replaying the event to my husband who got a great laugh out of it and told me it was just a dream. I wanted to believe him but couldn't convince myself knowing that it had been real.

Later that day, a local news announcer talked about strange lights and objects being sighted the night before. That made me feel somewhat validated although my husband did tease me about the alien and kept telling me it was a dream.

After the alien visit I did continue to tie the back door shut but no longer had a problem sleeping at night at all. The alien dreams stopped and never returned. I can't say as I'd want to wake up again and find an alien standing there; but all in all the benefits turned out to be pretty good.
