Aliens Are Here

There's One in Winnipeg

The search for aliens has been as long as the search for God has been amongst men. Ever since man lost his tail he began pondering about tails and where do tails go when they drop off. So many unanswered questions yet some of us seem to know for certain that we, the big kahuna - human being - are the only people in the universe of universes. How conceited of our self importance! I hate to burst your balloon people but Dr. Edgar Mitchell one of the astronauts on the Apollo 14 mission to the moon, now 77, has been claiming for years that he has seen extra terrestrial beings. Would I argue with a man who has been on the moon and has seen stuff that I can't even dream about. I don't think so.

The universe is vast and complex and perhaps our brains as human beings are not big enough to comprehend everything. It just does not make sense to think that a handful of humans like us are the only people around. There are species out there and some may be closer than you think.

I think I happened to bump into an alien not too long ago. He has to be an alien. Last winter in Winnipeg was one of the coldest we've had in many years. I generally walk to work carefully bundling myself with layered clothing and in spite of that my face and extremities would freeze in the cold. Imagine my surprise when one day at more than 20 below Celsius, I saw this man with whom I had crossed paths with several times before as we walked the same street every day, walking to work from about 4 kilometers away, with nothing more than a white short sleeve cotton shirt, no under shirt, no tie and a black pants. He wore no hat, no mitts, nothing. All that he carried in his hand was his lunch bag. I passed this man several times during the winter and was in awe at the sight of him on those blustery cold days. I spoke to some other friends who walked that route, to see if they had noticed this strange phenomenon. They did. One thought he was a mental case, but he was not. In all the years I have lived In Canada I have never seen such a thing. This was the first time I had witnessed someone walking in the cold as if he was walking in the middle of summer.

He could not be human, I thought to myself. NO human being could walk in such cold with a flimsy cotton shirt. Well walking down the same street a few days ago, I bumped into the very man. He seemed as fresh as ever, no frost bitten white patch in any visible place on his body, in fact he appeared younger than he looked in the winter. I stopped him and asked him how come he does not wear any winter clothes in the winter. He looked at me, smiled and assured me that he does slip on some covers when it's below 35 or 40 degrees Celsius. I asked how come he does not feel cold like the rest of us, he said he comes straight from the gym and that his body heat keeps him warm for some time. Yeah, right I thought. That is just a cover up for his alien identity.

So, yes, there are aliens and one might be staring you in the face because they look just like you and me.
