Alienware OptX W2210 is a 21.5-Inch LCD monitor widescreen 1080p which costs about 300 dollars. To be honest, 300 bucks is not that few to pay for a 21.5-Inch screen; after all, Dell has more LCD monitors to offer for the same price. However, Alienware OptX W2210 offers features which are unique. For example, it has touch-sensitive menu controls and face-recognition software. The design of OptX W2210 is very gorgeous.
The black color gives this monitor a very beautiful look, the base of the monitor is unique and has a shape similar to a boomerang that superheroes use. The ports are deliberately hidden, so the Alienware OptX does not have big, ugly ports sticking out. However, it sometimes can be a bit irritating especially if you need to plug in things often. This monitor delivers most of the ports you will ever need like: 4 USB 2.0 ports, 2 HDMI, a DVI-D port and audio jacks. They are all placed behind the monitor and it sometimes could be a bit difficult to reach them.
Alienware OptX W2210 deals great with the touch-sensitive control buttons. For some people it might be a downside because they like to feel the button with the finger while pressing it. I find it necessary too but I had no problems operating Alienware's controls with the touch-sensitive buttons. The built in menu has 5 preset settings which are: Standard, Multimedia, Game, Warm, and Cool. You can add your own custom preset in the sixth free space in the list.
Alienware OptX W2210 monitor is excellent while playing it with video game consoles. I tested this monitor with Xbox 360 and I have to say that I couldn't find any problems with it. There were no issues with lag, response time or other problems.
All in all, the Alienware OptX W2210 monitor is truly a fine product and it is totally worth 300 dollars. You will enjoy maximum quality for this amount of money.
