Aligning Your Body by Meditating for Chakras

Chakra is a Sanskrit term that means "wheel or circle." Chakras are positions in the body that link mind and body together. They are said to give the body spiritual energy to help cope with the daily stresses of life. When the chakras are aligned and centered, they give the body and mind increased energy and focus. Proper alignment of chakras help the mind and body act as one. This helps alleviate stress and help people become more peaceful and centered. The practice of meditation and aligning of the chakras were first cultivated in India. It is know a common practice around the world. If you want to tips for tuning down the stress of life, here are tips for meditation for chakras.

The first tip is to meditating for chakras are to align your self in the proper position. You want to sit on the floor, Indian-style, and sit with your back straight and upright. In this position, your chakras (your lower half, reproductive parts, navel, heart, throat, forehead, and top of the head) will all be aligned and in proper place. You can also kneel on your knees as if praying. Once you do this, it stops your body from vibrating and stressing. Vibrating denotes that your body is constantly moving and when you center yourself, you bring all the tension to a halt and focus on the inner being. Once you get to this point of meditating for chakras, you can focus on your breathing.

The second tip is to meditating for chakras are to focus on your breathing. You will want to focus on breathing in and out to a rhythm. You also want to focus on breathing deep and feeling it deep within side you. The reason for this is to achieve awareness and appreciation for the breathing. You want to feel the breathing all through your body. This is meant to align the chakras and get them working together. You can do this for about 5 to 10 minutes. This will give your body time to focus on the inner and help the whole body alleviate stress through your breathing. Once you get up, your body should be all working together to deal with stress instead of just your mind.

The third thing to do when meditating for chakras is to envision white light flowing through your body. It should start from the top of the head then flow to the bottom of the feet. You want it to flow down through the body and into each charka, filling it up. This brings all of the body into an enlightened state, thus having the body in harmony. As you continue to focus on your breathing, you chakras will become warm. With more time and practice they will become hot, showing that the chakras are being activated.

The fourth thing to do when mediating for chakras is to envision your body planting itself into the earth. You want to be like a tree getting what you need from Mother Earth. You want envision that your roots are spreading far and deep into the earth. This centers no just you but you and earth so that you are all moving in one direction. This practice is called anchoring your self. When you put all these together then you will center your self and make you chakras move and work together. This is a guide to meditating for chakras.
