Have you ever seen all fifty of the mottos [mottoes] for the United States listed together before? I haven't, in fact I didn't even know my own state's motto! I thought it might be fun (and interesting) to see them all together and compare. Look at how many are based on foreign languages (with Latin being the most popular secondary language), and the handful with religious (specifically Judeo-Christian) overtones.
