What Happened on Monday's Episode

Eliza Wynn

The final week of All My Children began on Monday, September 19, 2011. In Monday's episode, Angie received good news, JR continued to threaten and bully those around him, and Griffin had to make a hard decision about Project Orpheus.

While Jesse sadly packs up some of Lucy's things, Angie regains her eyesight. Overjoyed, Jesse doesn't even argue when she says she needs to see David.

David already has a visitor: a very angry Griffin, David needs his help with Project Orpheus since he himself can't get out of jail and take care of his patients. The problem is that Griff can't get past the fact that his sister is carrying David's child. When David points out that his patients shouldn't pay for his crimes, Griffin still refuses to help.

Also at the police station, Krystal confronts JR about his attempt to take A.J. JR tries to convince her that Babe is alive, but she's skeptical.

As Griffin rushes out of the interrogation room, JR starts to follow him, protesting loudly when Krystal stops him. A nearby officer comes to see what the problem is, and then Marissa shows up with a restraining order, which the officer looks over. JR is angry that the delay probably cost him his only chance of finding Babe. He tells Krystal that, unlike her, he doesn't give up on his kids. He will do whatever it takes to get A.J. back. He wads up the restraining order, throws it at Marissa, and calls it "just a piece of paper." Marissa isn't afraid of him, but he tells her she should be. He's determined to find Babe so that the two of them can get their son back.

To celebrate their engagement, Natalia and Brot get together with Randi and Frankie at Krystal's. Frankie and Randi try unsuccessfully to talk the engaged couple into holding their wedding at Angie and Jesse's. Hearing their conversation as he arrives, Jesse agrees--especially since Angie can see again. Everyone is thrilled to hear the news.

Angie gratefully tells David that the procedure worked, and he's very happy for her. David then tells her about Griffin's refusal to help with another Orpheus patient.

Liza informs Cara that David should get out of prison in eighteen months, thanks to a plea bargain a friend of hers arranged. Cara tells her about the pregnancy and says she intends to raise her baby alone, no matter where David is. Liza admits that the hardest part of being a single parent is not having anyone to brag to--even someone like David. She knows he isn't a great father or role model, but he does love his children.

Meanwhile, Maya worries about whether or not she's making the right choices for her baby. Liza finds her and Colby in the park, and her talk with Cara gives her an idea. She lays out rules for Maya, including an 8:00 pm curfew that will make it impossible for her to take the college courses she wanted. A little later, Jesse sees Maya, gives her the good news, and asks her to stop by with Lucy. When he gets home, Angie asks him to forgive her for shutting him out; she now realizes he did everything out of love for her. As they cuddle on the couch, Maya and Lucy arrive. Angie is overjoyed to be able to see them, and everyone decides that they should move back in.

Cara finds Griffin in the on-call room, and she can't believe he refused to help David's patient. Griffin thinks he and Cara should leave town, but Cara won't do that. Pine Valley has become their home. She really wants him to help that patient.

Cara visits David again to let him know she's had a change of heart. She wants him to be in the baby's life.

After the talk with his sister, Griffin goes to the lab after all to check on the patient.

An irate JR goes back to his hotel room, pines over Babe, and takes out the gun he stole from his father's collection.

Colby gives Liza the good news about Maya's decision and Angie's eyesight. Liza starts crying as she thinks about how Angie and Jesse finally got what they deserve. As for the two of them, she and Colby agree that they still have a chance to repair their relationship.

Still celebrating, Natalia and the others arrive, and they all toast their good fortune. While Angie takes several family photos, viewers see a montage of important moments in their lives.
