Cindy Margolis- "Queen of the Internet"
As part of a business course in college, Cindy Margolis started her own greeting card line- in which she appeared on the cards. Through her promotion and business skills, the company began a success. Agents began wondering, "Who's the girl on these greeting cards?". Soon they found out, and that is how Cindy Margolis began her modeling career.
Cindy Margolis first appeared in ads for Reebok, Vidal Sassoon, Coors, and Sunkist. She was the first supermodel to appear in 3 major swimsuit magazines in one year. In 1997, Cindy Margolis appeared in swimsuit editions of "Sport Magazine", "Muscular Development", and "Inside Sports".
Cindy Margolis also created an innovative website that really launched her career. CindyMargolis.com was ahead of it's time at its launch- featuring pictures, woman-to-woman advice, e-commerce, and streaming live video. When the Warned Brothers TV show "Extra" did a segment on Cindy Margolis, they offered a link to her website and pictures on the internet. This caused an internet explosion, as people began downloading her pictures on the web at unprecedented speeds. The Guinness Book of World records awarded Cindy Margolis as "The Most Downloaded Woman Ever."
Cindy Margolis has appeared on numerous TV shows, including "The Price is Right", "Baywatch", "In the Dark", and "Married with Children". She has also hosted several pay-per-view specials and MTV's Spring Break. She had her own short-lived TV show, "The Cindy Margolis Show". She is currently competing on "Celebrity Cooking Showdown" on NBC.
Cindy Margolis is married to Guy Starkman, owner of the restaurant chain "Jerry's Famous Deli". They met on a blind date. Cindy Margolis recently had their first child through a surrogate mother. She has publicly battled with infertility, and discusses it openly on CindyMargolis.com.
