What is Skype? Well, I'm not quite too sure myself. I've heard people ranting and raving about it, so I decided to take a browse through the internet to figure out what all the hype is about skype. So, if you are just as curious as I am, then read this, and it may help you out just as it has me.

Skype is a software application that allows users to make telephone calls over the internet. I know, weird, considering that almost every American goes crazy when a new cell phone comes out. Why would we need the internet to talk to someone when we have upgraded our cell phone plans and almost every American has one. So, I ask again, what is all the hype about Skype?

No matter how long you talk or how far away in the country you Skype friends are, you all talk for free. Along with telephone calls, instant messaging, and video chat with other Skype users is also free.

About the only thing that you're gonna need to enjoy Skype, besides friends or families to download the application too, is a headset with a microphone so that you can be heard by whoever you are "Skyping" with.
