All Natural Remedies for Home Workout Ailments

With working out come minor aliments that can side line you for a while. Don't allow that to happen to you. Small workout discomforts like sore muscles, blisters, and heat rash don't have to result in you quitting your health and exercise plan. Call on the old time country doctor that lives inside of you. Try these all natural do it yourself treatments and get back on track.

Comforting Blistering Heels - You want to avoid popping the blister because this increases the changes of getting an infection in the area. Remove all items exerting pressure in the affected area and apply lavender oil to fully cover the entire blistered area. Lavender is an anti-inflammatory. It will aid in speeding up the healing of the blister. It generally takes 4 to 7 days for the blister to heal completely. Apply the lavender oil every couple of hours and observe as it deflates and dry's out. Try as much as possible to keep the affected area open and exposed to fresh air.

Relieving the itch of Athlete's Foot - Athlete's foot is caused by fungi. To kill the fungi and relieve the itch of athlete's foot, finely mince a couple cloves of fresh garlic and place them in a clean cotton sock. Wear the sock overnight, continuing each night until the fungus disappears. Garlic kills fungi and also has a distinctive smell so remember to deodorize your feet well during the day. It will take 5 to 7 days for the fungus to totally disappear.

Sore Muscle Remedy - Sore muscles are caused by lactic acid. To draw the lactic acid from the affected muscles, dampen a clean cloth with apple cider vinegar and wrap it around the injured muscle for 20 minutes. The pain should begin to subside shortly afterwards. If it does not, rewrap it with another cloth moistened with apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar is a natural muscle reliever. This remedy should be reapplied every three to five hours to continue sore muscle relief until the pain is totally gone.

Cooling Heat Rash - The irritation, swelling and itching that accompanies heat rash can be unbearable at times. For quick lasting comfort, mix corn starch with regular oatmeal (not instant), and water to create a thick paste. Spread the paste mixture over the irritated area and allow it to dry. Leave it in place until it flakes off on its own. The residue that remains will continue to work and bring you relief. To avoid over drying your skin in the affected area, only reapply the mixture if it begins to itch again. The oatmeal and corn starch contain properties that aids in relieving itch, reducing swelling and cutting irritation.

These remedies work great and they are all natural. Of course, if the discomfort continues or worsens, see a doctor.
