The Different Size Poodles

Julie
Did you know poodles are one of the most intelligent dogs, they were used as hunting dogs for bears because they had quick responses, these traits also make good home protectors.

People who have allergies often own a poodle because they do not shed and no body dandur. They are great to have with young children because they are so gentle yet very protective.

They come in all different sizes, there is Standard, Miniature, and Toy, and they come in all different color, Black, Brown, Silver, Gray, Red, White and even Apricot, the mid size poodle was always my favorite and I grew up with poodles, they were very loving and always by my side, mine was the miniature poodle and her weight was around 10 pounds that is why she was called the miniature size.

The Standard poodle is the largest , then there is a toy poodles which usually weighs anywhere from 6 to 8 pounds.

The Toy is the tiniest member of the family, they are bright, good natured and very loving, if you want a pet to pamper and want a small pet then the toy poodle would be perfect, you can also find Teacup and Tiny toy poodles, like I said they all are very loving pets but do need to be taugh just as any pet, they do need to know what is allowed and what is not allowed.

To keep your poodles coat free of mats, it should be brushed often and taken to the groomers often, I always had my poodles clipped about every 6 weeks as well as had her toes painted bright pink which she loved you coud tell, you should always keep the hair out of there ears and pulled out often, alot of ear wax can get in the hair and could cause pain and become infected.

The words Standard, Toy and Miniture are used to tell you about the sizes of the poodle family but they are all one breed.

They are aslo known for their water capabilities

If you decide to purchase a poodle, do your homework and look for a reputable breeder in your area and remember any pet loves to get alot of exercise, attention, playtime, love and of course downtime.
