The Regal Entertainment Group MasterCard is offered in two striking styles - a red "Scene Stealer" style, abstractly portraying filmstrips, or a blue "Opening Night" style, which depicts a large city at night ornamented with roving spotlights.
Cardholders earn reward points with each purchase, in the amount of four points for every dollar spent at participating theatres and one point for every dollar spent elsewhere. When card users tally 1,200 points, a $10 Regal gift certificate is awarded. Movie fans can also increase their earnings by joining The Regal Crown Club. For details, visit www.regmovies.com.
This card requires no annual fee and advertises a 0% introductory APR, which is available for purchases and balance transfers within the first six billing cycles. Following the six-month period, the APR ranges from 11.24% variable, 15.24% variable or 20.24% variable, depending on one's credit history and the company's evaluation of the credit card application.
Making at least minimum payments on time is critical to avoiding the default APR rate of 29.24% variable. Consumers who choose to sign up for this card must be disciplined in paying their bills and careful not to spend over their credit limit in order to avoid the high default APR. A two-cycle average daily balance method is used to compute the balance for purchases, even including new purchases.
A grace period of at least 20 days is available, but this does not extend toward balance transfers, convenience checks or overdraft advances. The cash advance APR is 20.24% and the overdraft advance APR is 13.99% fixed, though it is not available in all states.
Movie lovers should be prompt with payments, as a minimum finance charge of $1 is the least of their worries. For balances up to but not including $250, a $15 late payment fee is charged. The late fee jumps to $39 if the balance is $250 or greater. When the default APR is in effect, the $39 late fee may be charged regardless of the balance amount. The fee for cardholders who spend above and beyond their credit limit is $35.
In order to reap the benefits of this card, one would need to purchase $300 worth of movie tickets and concessions to receive one $10 Regal gift certificate. The point-per-dollar plan for other non-theatre purchases may help to rack in some additional points to help spenders reach their goals. This truly is a credit card made with movie lovers in mind!
Credit card applicants must be at least 18 years of age in most states and 19 years of age in AL and NE. To apply for a Regal Entertainment Group Platinum MasterCard®, call 1-800-715-7716 or apply on the Web at www.regalmastercard.com.

Post a Commentthe alliance between chase and regal is over, the REG mastercard is now discontinued. I received a letter in the mail today. Exsisting card holders will be converted to a plain chase credit card. New cards will be sent out in the first quarter of 2009.
