Stomach aches are annoying and inconvenient. This article contains some home remedies to calm your stomach without a trip to the doctor.
Remedy 1: Prevention

One good way to stop a stomach ache is to stop it before it starts. Avoid foods the cause stomach updates. Food and drink that acidic, such as coffee, black tea, citrus food and drink, spicy food, and food and drink with high levels of sugar. If you can't/won't avoid these foods at least stop consuming them once you get a stomach ache. Also don't take any medication (over the counter or prescription) on an empty stomach, unless specified by a doctor.

Remedy 2: Reduce your stress

Stress is one of the most overlooked causes of stomach ache. Try not to focus on your pain, this will only stress you out more and perpetuate the problem. Instead of thinking about the pain take some time out to unwind. Do something that you enjoy, watch a movie, play a game, or read the news. Whatever it is that you choose to do just make sure that you take some time out and enjoy yourself.

Remedy 3: Herbs, Herbal tea, and Carbonated drinks

Certain herbs and herbal teas can help with stomach ache. Chewing mint leaves and ginger root (don't swallow!) has been know to help stomach upset. Aloe Vera juice and caraway oil also can help. Chamomile, Mint, Fennel, and Ginger tea will also ease a stomach. Turmeric, which comes in a grainy fiber form, has also been shown to be effective. You can find all of these herb in your local health food store or co-op. Carbonated mineral water or tonic water can help to calm the acids that can cause an upset stomach.

Remedy 4: Yoga and Exercise

Some yoga poses can help with stomach ache. Poses that focus on strengthening the abdomen are especially good for indigestion. Side bending and hip opening poses are also helpful. These poses help by restricting blood flow to certain parts on the body (while holding the pose), then allowing the blood to rush back in (when the pose is released). This allows new oxygen to flood the area, brining its healing propriety's. For the same reasons yoga's Panama, or practice breathing, is also beneficial for easing indigestion. If your not into yoga other light exercisers, such as taking a walk, are also good at relieving stomach ache.
