Alleged John Edwards Affair Steers Rumors

Rosa Hayes
Rumors of an alleged John Edwards affair has stirred a lot of talk after the National Enquirer reported that the former presidential candidate had been caught visiting his mistress at 2:40 a.m. in Los Angeles. Ideas that John Edwards might have had affair -- and a secret love child -- have raised questions about how long the affair has been going on -- if it is even true. If you don't know what the Enquirer is, it is a magazine that often stretches the truth about famous people. John Edwards' alleged affair has not been confirmed.

Even though this might not be true, there are still many who are supposed to be representing the United States who have had affairs.

Take a look at Bill Clinton's affair. Just like the rumors about a John Edwards' affair, there were a lot of rumors at first about a mysterious woman being in Clinton's life and the rumors turned out to be true. The marriage between Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton didn't really make that big of an impact since his wife forgave him and they moved on with their lives.

A former governor also comes to mind when we think about cheating men in the media. Former governor Elliot Spitzer wasn't just caught with anyone; he was caught with a prostitute. Life moved on for Elliot Spitzer and the former prostitute, Ashley Dupre. Spitzer ended up resigning and Ashley Dupre got to be on Girls Gone Wild and sued for stealing someone's identity. John Edwards' story may not be as popular as the Spitzer affair because Spitzer and Dupre can't seem to stay out of the media.

It seems the ball keeps on rolling on these men in the spotlight. There is nothing better for the news than when one governor, president or vice president cheats on his wife. When someone as famous as these men cheats, they will be caught. Men like this should know that they have cameras following them everywhere they go and every hour of the day.

I hope that John Edwards' alleged affair is not true, but who really knows anymore? Rumors have probably gotten a lot of problems stirred up with his family and reports like this will keep the media at his door.

Great job- It doesn't suprise me at all anymore to see politicians in the news regarding affairs, but with Edward's wife having cancer, I guess I thought he might have a little more compassion....that's what I get for thinking!

Good report, but not surprising information....As for Hilary, I think she only "forgave" Bill because she's power-hungry.
