All-Inclusive Resorts in the Caribbean

The Caribbean is the most popular vacation destination for any age demographic. There are many different islands in the Caribbean, most of which have all-inclusive resorts.

Sandals is the biggest all-inclusive resort chain in the Caribbean. With resorts located in Jamaica, the Bahamas, St. Lucia and Antigua, Sandals is a strictly couples-only resort. There are twelve Sandals resorts in total.

Many resorts in the Caribbean cater solely to couples for the purpose of romance. Sandals won't even allow children in their resorts. The parent company of Sandals, Unique Vacations, introduced Beaches Resorts specifically for families. These resorts are located in Jamaica and Turks & Caicos.

Some Caribbean resorts offer the option of being an all-inclusive vacation, even if they usually aren't. For example, Atlantis in the Bahamas has the option of having all meals and activities included in the price of your stay. This is the same for many chain hotels in the Caribbean, such as Hilton and Marriott. Make sure to consult a travel agent about these offerings.

It is often thought that staying at an all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean is very expensive. As a matter of fact, there are several all-inclusive resorts that fit low budgets. Grand Pineapple Resorts, located in Jamaica and Antigua, is the low budget option from Grand Pineapple. SuperClubs, which has resorts in Jamaica, Curacao, St. Lucia, the Bahamas and Panama also offers a lower-end expense to travelers that are looking for an all-inclusive vacation on a tight budget.

There are some resorts in the Caribbean that claim to be all-inclusive, but have a fee that you must pay in order to use their facilities and/or make changes to the base package offered. Club Med is one of these resorts. be sure to find out what is included in the price before booking your trip.

Many of the islands in the Caribbean are so small that it doesn't matter what all-inclusive resort you stay at. Many nearby resorts offer day passes to visitors that aren't staying at their resort for a nominal fee. A good example of this is Riu Paradise Island, located right next door to the world-famous Atlantis Resort. The Riu is far less-expensive, all-inclusive, and only a few yards from Atlantis. Resorts that have properties on the same island usually offer complementary shuttles between resorts so that guests can experience more than one resort. For example, if you stay at Sandals Montego Bay, you can visit any other Sandals in Jamaica for free during that trip.Virtually all all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean offer activities included in the price of the resort. If you are looking for activities beyond the resort walls, visit the tour / excursion desk. You have to pay extra for these activities, but are very safe and insured by the resort.

We are vacationing at an all-inclusive resort in Jamaica this winter, and I feel like we are paying a fair price for the food, drinks, and activities, etc. that are all included. Good article.
