Almond Milk: An Amazing Concept

Find Quick and Easy Protein Packaged in a Versatile, Rich, and Great Tasting Beverage

B. Index
In three flavors, original, vanilla, and chocolate, all are satisfying and tasty. And unlike other dairy alternatives on the market, almond milk leaves no aftertaste. While chocolate and vanilla have just a hint of nutty flavor that complements the sweetness, original has a mild almond taste that is delicious by itself, or goes well with coffee, cereal, pastries, cookies, and even in your cooking. Best yet, it's completely dairy-free, so there's no bloat for the lactose intolerant and is safe for those allergic to milk. Almond beverage makers add vitamins A and D, just as dairy manufacturers do, so that benefit is not lost, either.

Almonds Are the Super-Food

They're high protein, flavorful, convenient, high in fiber, high in mono-unsaturated fat-the kind that helps balance your cholesterol and keeps it in check-and they come packed in a rich, delicious beverage. Almonds naturally contain vitamin E, for the health of your skin, and calcium for bones. They're also a good source of magnesium, which helps the body absorb calcium and is good for the cardiovascular system.

Health and fitness lovers have known this super-food secret for years. Now it's easy to use the almond advantage. Cup for cup, almond milk competes with dairy in your cooking. Try adding Original flavor to perk up your cookies, pancakes, waffles, and French toast with a hint of almond. Use vanilla flavor in a smoothie; try chocolate too.

Wake Up Your Smoothies with Almond Milk

After a hard workout, there's nothing so satisfying as an all-natural fruit smoothie to re-energize. Muscles need a quick shot of protein. Your blood needs a natural sugar boost, and you get all the flavor you deserve, and peace of mind knowing the almond milk in your smoothie is working just as hard as you to make your body fit and lean.

Use this smoothie recipe to get started. Soon you'll be inventing your own!

One half-cup non-fat plain yogurt
One cup Almond Milk (start with Original; branch out later)
One half-cup all natural frozen strawberries
One fresh banana
One handful fresh blueberries
Two tablespoons whey protein powder (skip if lactose intolerant)

Place all measured ingredients in a blender and Liquefy or Puree until rich and smooth. This provides about 1 sixteen ounce serving at 330 calories and 3 grams of fat (280 calories without whey).
