Almond Milk Smoothies

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

In a blender, combine the following ingredients. Mix on high speed for just a few seconds.

1 cup pumpkin puree
1 cup almond milk
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1 cup of ice (use more or less depending on desired consistency)
2 teaspoons of brown sugar
1/4 cup pecans (optional yet makes this smoothie very satisfying)

Apple Pie Smoothie

Saute one apple (peeled, cored, and chopped) with one teaspoon of cinnamon, two teaspoons brown sugar, and 2 tablespoons of butter. Cook over medium heat until apples are quite soft. Allow to cool.

In a blender, combine the following ingredients. Mix on high speed for just a few seconds.

Sauteed apples (see above)
1 cup of almond milk
1 cup of ice
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (optional yet makes for a thick and delicious shake)
