Aloe vera. For many years healers and physicians have used aloe vera to help others. Aloe vera comes from the fragrant desert lily. There are many different species of this amazing plant. The leaf of the aloe contains the special gel or emollient that is used externally in cosmetics and skin creams. Aloe vera gel is regarded as one of nature's best natural moisturizers.

The juice that is extracted from the leaf is said to be bitter. The juice may be taken internally for digestive disorders. Aloe vera is still widely used to heal burns and wounds. Aloe vera has many benefits.

It soothes and promotes healing of sunburn and other kinds of minor burns.
