I woke up in the morning
With no one to hug me
But still I say
I am happy today
I prepared my meals
With no one to help me
But still I say
I am happy today
I left for work
With no one to wish me goodbye
But still I say
I am happy today
I went home in the evening
And there was no one to welcome me
But still I say
I am happy today
I went to bed
Alone with my dreams
But still I say

Post a CommentIt is a blessing sometimes to be alone ..but are we truely alone ?loneliness is a state of mind .Learning to be with yourself ..happy and loved ..by you ...counters that .stay loved frm within.
I can relate. I think I learned the difference between alone and lonely when I was in college. To this day, I don't mind being alone -- in fact, I enjoy my own company. But the three of us can get into some intense arguments.

Yes! "Lonely" and "alone" have different meanings. Sometimes, in solitude is the spirit uplifted. I'm thinking now of Julie Andrews, spinning in infinity, up in the mountains where the hills are alive with a pound of muse. But I know what you mean. Sometimes we would like to be with another. Some creative sorts also need that 1 on 0 time, too. All said, do what you love.
I thank God I have my children. If not for them I could write this poem. may the Lord bless you with someone to share all your happy moments :)
Yes its rare to be happy without any reason, happiness is mostly materialistic, so it's not from soul. let's be happy from the soul!!!!!!!
