Already Trendy Atlantic Avenue Gets Even More Chic
Neighborhood: Cobble Hill
Brooklyn, NY 11201
United States of America
Atlantic Avenue has always been trendy but this week its getting even more chic. Last Thursday, the new Barneys Coop opened up along the strip. Its presence offers up the best of fashion's best at a fraction of the price usually seen in the Manhattan location.

That doesn't mean everything is cheap. You'll still find jeans for $250 and sundresses for almost $800.

The influx of such stores has given the strip along Atlantic Avenue the moniker of "Hotlantic" since there are so many hot stores and brands to choose from. Well-known brands will definitely draw more visitors, and therefore, more business to the neighborhood.

The Barneys Coop is now located next to Trader Joe's just west of Court Street. The store's presence is actually thought to bolster business rather than put the smaller guys in a compromising position. Because the store is so large, it will bring in a lot of foot traffic which excites the smaller privately owned shops around.
