When searching for a wedding photographer, you'll want the best of the best. Aside from memories, the pictures will take you back to the happiest day of your life. You'll want beautiful pictures to look back on so a good photographer is a must.

When I started my search, I knew I needed to stay within my budget. I wanted good pictures, so I searched the internet. Somewhere along the line I came across a company called Altar Imaging and I am very happy that I did. Altar Imaging is a company that is run by a husband and wife team. Pat and Gary Day are 2 of the nicest people I had the pleasure of working with while planning my wedding. They are based in Montrose, PA but are willing to travel to capture your special day. They offered to bring their portfolios for me to look at, but after speaking with them- I knew I wanted them there without seeing a thing.

My first concern was that I didn't want only the traditional pictures. I wanted ones that would capture the real us whether we were sharing a romantic moment, or laughing with friends. Pat and Gary assured me that it would not be a problem, and that's what really sold me.

My second concern was having outside photos taken. I wanted them taken in the church, surrounding the church and then at the local fountain in the center of town. They were happy to accommodate my request and as a result, I have beautiful wedding photos.

Ordering my photos was easy. They sent me some beautiful collages via email to decide on. If at any point, I wanted something changed- they made the change and re-sent the new collage. I have an album filled with collages that they put together, something I never could have imagined. I also have another album which is filled with 4x6's which I was able to choose from the cd of proofs they provided. There were so many wonderful pictures that it took me a very long time to decide on which ones I wanted. Luckily, I was able to purchase additional pictures on their website and put them into another album. There was no stress in regards to organizing my pictures; Pat took care of all of that. My albums were shipped to me in a storage box with pictures organized and in the sleeves. They printed some in black and white and sepia tones to give my album variety. The possibilities are endless.

For the price I paid, I got so much more than I expected. They showed up at 1pm at the church and started snapping away. They did all of the getting ready, ceremony, posed, bridal party, family, outside, and reception pictures. It was around 10pm when they came up and thanked me for allowing them to photograph my wedding. I felt that it was very sweet of them, but I should have been thanking them for all of the extra things they did. They managed to capture pictures of things that I didn't even know went on. They were my second pair of eyes and because of them- I have many pictures of things I never would have seen.

At no point did I feel uncomfortable and they were so easy to work with. I always have a problem having a 'real' smile and not one that looks fake. Gary's sense of humor kept me smiling and in every picture- I have a real smile. They made it so easy.

I highly recommend Altar Imaging for your wedding photography. The prices are very reasonable and they are worth every cent. I love taking my albums out and just flipping through the pages. It helps to relive my special day, and without wonderful pictures. It would not have been the same. You can visit their webpage at: www.altarimaging.com. Some of my pictures are actually in their gallery, or you can view my album in the "weddings" section under Amy & Scott June 3, 2005- password is Bellum.
