Alternate Uses for Wading Pools

Wading pools are really great to have around the house. They can be used for much more than just for you little children to get wet in, even though they are excellent for that on a really hot day. Wading pools can be used as a tv lounge, a storage bin, a drink cooler, a pet cooler and even a duck pond. If you have one of the little pools you may have other things you use it for but here are a few more.

Have you ever wished you could let your children watch their favorite tv show while enjoying a snack. Most parents face this dilemma at some point in their life. I guess even other people who have small children in their lives may also face this. But how can this problem be remedied? A small wading pool will work great. Just place the small wading pool in front of the tv on the floor and put the child in it. Now give the child the snack and your floor will be safe.

If you have a plastic wading pool that will fit under your bed, you can use it as a storage bin. This would be the perfect place to put toys, crafting supplies or just about anything that will fit in the wading pool and under the bed. The plastic wading pool is sturdy enough to last for a long time and will help keep things in it clean and out of the way. Even heavy items can be stored easily in a wading pool.

Planning a party but do not have enough coolers to keep drinks cold? Well forget running down to the store to buy a cooler. They are expensive. Just look at the wading pools. They can be used to ice drinks or even a watermelon down and are perfect for a few hours use. Then after the party you can use the wading pool for another task, maybe even one listed here.

Animals can also use wading pools. On hot days, dogs that live outside may enjoy a wading pool just like a child would. Especially hunting dogs, such as Labradors or Retrievers. Just remember to change the water regularly if you do decide to give your dog its own pool.

If you have ducks or geese, a wading pool can be used as a pond for them. Even the smallest duck will enjoy the wading pool and can learn to swim in it. You may have to fix some steps into and out of the pool if you have small ducklings, but they will soon learn where their pool is and will spend hours enjoying it.
